Exercise: The Product Pitch-Off

Welcome aspiring product management professionals! Today we have a super fun and slightly ridiculous game to help you hone your product management skills. 

Introducing "The Product Pitch-Off"!

Here's how it works:

• Gather a group of aspiring product managers.
• Ask each person to come up with an idea for a new product that solves a problem they've experienced or observed.
• Give everyone 5-10 minutes to prepare a quick pitch for their product idea. Encourage them to be creative and think outside the box!
• Have each person present their product idea to the group, giving them 2-3 minutes to explain what the product does, who it's for, and why it's valuable.
• After everyone has presented, have the group vote on their favorite product idea based on factors such as creativity, feasibility, and market potential.

But wait, there's a twist! To make things even more interesting, assign each person a random constraint that they must incorporate into their product pitch. Here are a few examples:

• Your product must be marketed exclusively for dogs.
• Your product must be made entirely out of recycled materials.
• Your product must cost less than $5 to produce.
• Your product must include a feature that has never been seen before.
• Your product must be marketed exclusively to senior citizens.

By adding these constraints, you'll challenge the aspiring product managers to think creatively and come up with unique solutions to the problem they're trying to solve. Plus, it adds an element of fun and surprise to the exercise!

At the end of the pitch-off, you'll have a group of energized and engaged product management enthusiasts who have honed their pitching and creative thinking skills. Plus, you might even come away with a few great product ideas to pursue in the future. Happy pitching!
